Designed for Georgia State University's Cinefest theater showing the movie Beautiful Losers. Was displayed at the box office on campus.

Draft Magazine Re-Design

I wanted to change the look and feel of the current Draft magazine and make it more classic. I modeled it after wine magazines. I re-designed the "logo" of the magazine. The cover of the magazine I used an image from the Heineken Museum in Amsterdam. The table of contents and masthead is next with popular beer advertisements that I also used as well as a personal painting. The page spread, I used my own photography.

Illustrated the alphabet with sushi.

Typography deconstruction

Picked one subject matter (smoking pipes), a word to describe the images (smoke), and picked three typefaces which best matches its corresponding pipe. Proceeded to study and re-write three different typefaces by hand (no tracing).

Wine Bottle Design

This is a bottle re-design for the Australian wine Shoo Fly. I decided to make my design into the four splits and constructed the carrying case for the bottles as well.

Tshirt and Poster Design

This is a promotional poster and t-shirt for a band that I like, Department of Eagles. They are from New York and more of an underground band. I wanted to portray the personality of the musicians by the illustrations and color choices.

13 Month Calendar

This was a typographical 13 month calendar which had the illustration influence of Sailor Jerry. Sailor Jerry was one of the original American traditional style tattoo artists, who is a huge influence in traditional style tattooing today. My illustrations for each month relate to the typeface of that month. Attached to each month is also a temporary tattoo of that months image. The "13th month" has original flash art by Sailor Jerry and several pieces of information about him.

Illustration

A few illustrations of mine. The first one is an evil eye. I am part Greek and have been looking for a cool (real) evil eye to put up in my place. I gave up on the search and made my own. The second one down was inspired by a necklace I liked. The owl drawing was inspired by an owl-bank (piggy bank sort-a thing). The limes and lemon drawing I think came about because I bartend at a margarita bar.

Logo/Identity Design

The logo re-design for a small, but very funky, cosmetic company that specializes in Pin Up Style makeovers. I also created the business cards, a fold-out brochure with information about pricing and sample photography (photos not shown), advertisements, and an invitation for customers to send out to friends for private parties. I was inspired by 80's design and polka dots.

Package Design

A package re-design of a tape measure. The cost of producing the product was not an issue. I wanted to appeal to children and people who are not comfortable in hardware stores. A bright playful package, I felt, would jump out and appeal to that audience.
